Texas beats OU 16-13

Well in the first half OU seemed to have a brilliant game plan with Demarco Murray catching passing behind or near the line of scrimmage, gaining big yardage against Texas.  The OU Defense was playing three men up front and the ends and the linebackers standing up and constantly moving which totally confused Texas and they could not get a drive going.  Of course the warning signs was OU could not get in the endzone and settled for 6 points in field goals.  Then Sam Bradford say it isn't so got hurt again and a gloom settled over the Sooners. Landry performed well but Stevens missed the 45 yard field goal try and that was followed by fumbled punt by Dominique Franks for OKlahoma which gave the Longhorns an easy field goal. All of a sudden even though we had dominated the first half we ended it with only a three point lead.  Brent Venerables the defensive coordinator decided in his wisdom to go to a four man front in the second half and mostly to stop blitzing Mccoy the Texas Quarterback.  I do not understand why he changed the defense that was working so well to bottle up Texas.  Texas started to be able to run on the Sooner Defense and then McCoy was able to start Scrambling.  I just hate when the Coach changes the formation that was working because he thinks the other team might adjust to what he was doing in the first half.  Why not wait until they adjust before changing the formation??  We still had a chance to win it near the end of the game even after the touchdown that put Texas up 16 -13 on us.  Brian Jackson by our goal line intercepts a McCoy pass and looks like he could run it all the way back for the win, the only one that could stop him was McCoy and he did.  I just wish Franks could of intercepted the ball, he is a good enough runner to get around McCoy and we would of won.  Stevens missing that one field goal ended up being the difference in the game. Oh Well ! it is Alamo Bowl for the Sooners.  No chance for the National Championship, or the Big 12 championship.  I doubt Sam will play anymore this season.  Kansas is Next at Kansas.  Strap it on Sooners.
